A key part of becoming a good rider is that you and your machine have to almost become one. You need to master the controls of your machine to allow you to control your machine as if it is an extension of you and that it becomes as natural as walking.

Your Mentor will help you to build your confidence and ability to control your machine by accurate use of the throttle, to allow you to build speed and even reduce it by use of the throttle alone.

They will help you utilise accurate use of the power that your machine has to enhance your cornering ability in a safe and controlled way through correct gear selection and the application of the correct level of drive at the peak time to allow controlled acceleration out of the bends.

They will also help you to understand the Power Modes available on your machine if appropriate and enable you to better decide which you use and when, by increasing the understanding that each mode has on the power and its delivery.

They will also assist you in analysing what the road surface is like and how that can effect grip, as well as what other factors may be affecting the grip level and how to identify them and even anticipate potential changes to the level of grip at different features (roundabouts, bends etc.) and how to factor that into your use of the throttle during your ride.
